In an effort to expand my followers section and find some more awesome blogs to follow I've been linking my blog this week! It's been a lot of fun looking at all of the fun, creative and inspiring blogs out there and I can't say that I'm not happy about the new followers that I've gained! I'm super excited! If you want to link your blog here is the on that I'm using today!
My sweet girls Madolyn Rose and Gibson Bella were born! They were born at 35 weeks and had to spend a little time in the NICU! We have lots of hiccups along the way but we've made it to 5 healthy and strong! Here are a few pics over the past 5 years!
We won't have their party until next month! It's a DR. Seuss theme. Check back for pictures and details from what is bound to be a fantastic party!
Okay, so here's the dress that I made for the Sock Hop silent auction! I love it! It's named for my sweet niece Summer who I know will look fabulous in the one that I'm making for her! ;)
I was one of the lucky ones to test this pattern for Whimsy Couture a few weeks ago you can check out their blog here http://whimsycoutureboutique.blogspot.com and their Etsy shop here http://www.etsy.com/shop/whimsycouture They have lots of cute patterns. You'll be seeing more that I am making from their patterns in the near future!
I also found this awesome tutorial to make the fantastic Fabric Flower hair Clip!
Friday night was Bright Elementary's annual Sock Hop! I spent the day at the school decorating and preparing for the big event. I was also informed that I would be in charge of decorations next year! Our beloved decorations leader will be moving on from Bright next year since her kiddo is going to be in middle school! :(
Anyway, once we were finished at school it was time for the fun part! Getting Brinley dressed up for the dance. She love's it just as much as I do! So after she was all dolled up we headed outside for a quick modeling session before the dance. What do you think of our party outfit that we created from my old prom dress?
You can't tell that she likes to pose can you? She's such a little ham when no one else is around. There is no way that she would do this for a real photographer!
Check back soon for picks of the silent auction item that I made and donated for the Sock Hop!
My name is Julie. I am a SAHM of three beautiful little girls. I so want to be that Super Mom that can do everything and still keep her calm. However, I am FAR FAR FAR from that. You get my point. Anyway, things would be perfect if my existence as a Super Mom only meant making crafts, sewing clothes and costumes for my girls and throwing parties then the title would be mine. In my case I can't seem to keep all of the other loose ends from fraying. Like cleaning, cooking, homework and anything that requires organization or accountability! I hope that you enjoy my misadventures as I document my time striving to be Super Mom for my girls!
